Uganda Police Force participates in the ongoing EAC Armed Forces Field Pre Exercise Clinic

Sixty-one (61) officers from Uganda Police Force are taking part in the ongoing 12th East African Community Armed Forces Field Pre Exercise Clinic (Ushirikiano Imara 2022) that is currently taking place at the Uganda Rapid Deployment Capability Center in Jinja City.

The Officers join officers from UPDF and Uganda Prisons service and key civilian components.

 

The Police team is headed by Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Micheal Mugabi from Police headquarters who is also the Deputy Chief Ampere.

The three day orientation pre Exercise Clinics that started on 31st May 2022 will end today 2nd June 2022 at Uganda Rapid Deployment Capability Center, in Jinja.

Six countries are taking part in the 12th edition of the armed forces and these are Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Burundi, Rwanda and South Sudan.

This year’s EAC 12th edition exercise has been underway from 27th May and will run until 16th June 2022 in the districts of Jinja, Buikwe and Mayuge.
