The Uganda Police Force is proud to host the 17th edition of the Inter-Forces Games and Championships, scheduled to take place at PTS Kabalye from November 19 to December 01, 2023.

This annual event brings together the four security forces of Uganda – UPDF, UPF, UPS, and UWA – showcasing their best teams across various games and sports disciplines.

This year’s theme, “Fostering Wellness and Interagency Cooperation for a Safe and Secure Uganda,” underscores the importance of collaboration among security forces. The competitions will feature football, netball, handball, volleyball (ball games), Taekwondo, marksmanship (range shooting), and darts.

After securing victory with 07 gold, 04 silver, and 02 bronze medals in the 16th Edition of the Inter-Forces Games 2022, Uganda Police teams are fully prepared to meet the challenge.

“We invite parents and teachers to inspire youth participation in sports, emphasizing its role in personal development and potential career opportunities.” Stated Uganda Police Force deputy PRO, ACP Nabaka Claire.

Renowned sports icons like ASP Cheptegei Joshua, Jacob Kiplimo, SSP Stephen Kiprotich, Ronald Musagala, Halima Nakaayi, Titus Tugume, Peruth Chemutai, Dorcus Inzikuru, and Jesca Achan, who emerged from the different forces (Prisons, Police, Wildlife, and UPDF), highlight the rich talent nurtured within our institutions.

The Media Launch is earmarked for November 17, 2023, hosted by IGP at Police Headquarters Naguru. “We extend an open invitation to the people of Uganda to join us in celebrating and fostering sports and games talents among our officers and the nation as a whole.” ACP Nabaka concluded.
