The Carabinieri Police Pledges Full Support to Uganda Police Force.

The Inspector General of Police General Kale Kayihura has today 20th May 2015 met with a delegation from the Carabinieri police-Italy at the Police Headquarters in Naguru and signed a memorandum of understating (MoU)which will tighten the cooperation between the two forces.

The MoU signed will assist the Uganda Police Force to attain training, modernizing the Uganda police and also provide material support to fight terrorism and crime in Uganda and the East African region at large.

The head of the delegation and Commander General of Carabinieri Police Gen. Tulio Del Sette, said Carabinieri Police is to give full support in modernization and professionalizing the force in terms of training and material support.

The Inspector General of Police has welcomed the assistance from the Carabinieri police and said the Memorandum of Understanding that was signed will see the Uganda Police Force on top in fighting terrorism globally.

The force has already received three helicopters from the Carabinieri before the signing of MoU which will empower the police air wing.

The Carabinieri police delegation included Gen. Enzo Bernardini, Gen. Sebastiano Conitini, Col Giuseppe Battagua, Col. Francesco Ruggiero, Col. Nassimo Spaduecchia, Mr. Luigi Murgia, and Cap. Gianluca Zara.
