GREATER MASAKA
RAKAI: We have in custody eight people suspected to have been behind the kidnap of a two-year old girl, Nawanyana Favour daughter to Sewanyana Ben and Nabukenya Salvia both residents of Lwamagwa in Rakai.
The baby went missing on the 20/11/2018 and on the 21/11/2018, the kidnappers called the parents and demanded for a ransom of 4.6 million shillings which the parents sent and were directed where their daughter had been dumped in Kyotera Township.
The baby was recovered alive but trailing the kidnapers continued. However, the arrest of Kiwanuka Martin, the owner of the phone line on which money was sent led to the arrest of more seven conspirators in this crime.
This case file is with RSA as inquiries continue.
