SUSPECT CHARGED TO COURT FOR AGGRAVATED DEFILEMENT AND SODOMY

The Territorial Police in Nansana Division, charged to court, a one Pakcho Derrick, a teacher at Home Kindergarten, Busibante in Najjera for aggravated defilement, after he sexually sodomised a 16-year-old male juvenile on the 23.02.2023, with other sexual gang members, in Nabweru South I Cell. The facts gathered indicate that the victim who is a casual laborer, was lured for a lucrative job by the suspect. And on the 23.02.2023, at around midnight, they boarded a taxi from Najjera to Nabweru South I Cell, and entered into a wall fenced house. Upon arrival, the victim was approached by three other men, who forcefully stripped him naked and sodomised him in turns. They were joined by the teacher, Pakcho Derrick, who was charged at Nabweru Court with Aggravated Defilement and trafficking in persons, on the 1.3.2023.

We want to thank the defense secretary of Busibante village, Nsumba Sulait, who took interest in the matter and reported to police. The suspect was arrested and exhibits of drugs recovered from his residence. Efforts are in place to trace for his other criminal sex gang members.

In a separate development, the police in Jinja, also has in custody, a one Mukhoda Lydia the Deputy Headteacher in charge of discipline at PMM Girls SS in Jinja, on several counts of aggravated defilement, trafficking in persons and grooming of young girls into unnatural sex practices. A CID task team has instituted inquiries into the allegations of recruitment, grooming, luring girls with gifts and cash, transporting them to lodges like Kapanga lodge, introducing them to narcotic drugs, and recording them in sex videos for commercial purposes. Her partner identified as Maigga Martha has been arrested to help support our investigations. Further efforts are in place, to identify witnesses from the school and other locations in Jinja City and Buwenge.

We strongly condemn all forms of sexual violence, and we shall ensure all perpetrators are held accountable for their crimes.
