The IGP has come out to applaud all the 50,000 SPCs for the pivotal role they played in supporting the Joint Security Agencies in securing the elections.
He congratulated them for their concerted efforts in making the general elections, 2021, a success. By protecting millions of Ugandans, they enabled the voters to express their voices.
We want to inform them that their last salary payment has been disbursed. They should cross check with their respective Districts and Divisions. Those still in possession of government stores of uniforms and gumboots should hand them over. They should keep their certificates and expect to be called upon in future.
We want to add that management resolved that a few SPCs be retained for two more months to support policing operations in 20 regions.
