The Member of Parliament for Mityana Municipality, Hon. Francis Zaake is expected to return home tomorrow Thursday October 11th, 2018 via Entebbe International Airport.
We have intelligence that some are being mobilised to go to Entebbe International Airport to welcome him in processions that require police intervention to regulate such processions as guided by the Public Order Management Act of 2013 (POMA).
We have not received any notification from the organizers of this procession.
As a result, they are unlawful and would disrupt normal business activities including movement of people to and from the airport.
We have put in place guidelines to maintain peace, law and order and they are;
The Hon. MP will be received at Entebbe International Airport by his immediate family.
He will be availed security from the airport to his home.
Police will further ensure law and order for all road users.
There shall be no unlawful rallies, processions and assemblies.
Any activity that entails a public gathering must be in conformity with the provisions of Public Order Management Act (POMA).
The organizers of the Honourable’s return are expected to comply with the traffic laws and regulations.
