Press Release

There is a lie trending on social media platforms claiming that Police or security agencies surrounded the home of Mr. Komakech Henry Kilama last night. This is absolutely false. Our officers in Gulu were notified of the same and they rushed to his home and it was a false alarm. Secondly, one of the local leaders, Hon. Kelly Komakech, LC 3
chairman PECE Division, Gulu town visited his home too and found it a false alarm.

This is to correct the impression created which we think is an act of dishonesty on the part of the complaint. We advise the members of the public to avoid such false alarms but to also cooperate with security if there is any fear, real or suspect.

The police will continue to follow up this matter to establish reasons behind these
allegations.

Equally, the Police has not arrested Mr. Eddie Mutwe as alleged by social media platforms. If he is missing, we advise that the family immediately reports disappearance of their family member to the nearest Police Station or post so that we start the process of finding him.
