Police officers grace 12th EAC Armed Forces Field Training Exercise

Uganda Police Force is taking part in the ongoing 12th East African Community (EAC) Armed Forces Field Training Exercise (FTX) Ushirikiano Imara 2022 which is being conducted at UCRD in Jinja.

The exercise is geared towards promoting intergration agenda through enhancing the state of readiness and interoperability of EAC Partner States’ Armed Forces, Police, Civilian components and other stakeholders in responding to complex security challenges.

 

The exercise was flagged off today 3rd June 2022 by The Third Deputy Prime Minister and Minister Without Portfolio Rukia Isanga Nakadama.

Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIGP)Geoffrey Guloba, Director Human Resource Development represented the Inspector General of Police. The Police contigent is headed by Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Micheal Mugabi and it comprises of 61 officers.

The FTX is running under the theme “Protecting Peace, Security and Stability towards the East African Community Intergrated”
