Police arrests criminals attempting to attack a prison and a police station.

Police in greater Masaka mutukula in an operation yesterday arrested thugs who attempted to attack mutukula prison and later kakuuto police post.
The thugs had the intention of stealing guns but were repulsed.
Police arrested a 19 year old Serwadda Anthony who has for long been on the list of most wanted offenders in masaka.
According to the greater Masaka police spokesman SP Lameck Kigozi ,Serwadda was first arrested in June last year after police found him in possession of bullets.
” when he was taken to court in Rakai, he fled from court room in a manner which left everybody puzzled and escaped, on the 31 of DEC 2016″ kigozi said .
Serwadda is also believed to have attacked Cpl Okiror a UPDF staff on 2/02/2017 attached to URA Mutukula boarder and grabbed a gun from him with three full magazines and fled, on the of January, using that gun they attacked Kyotera town and robbed 14million shillings, also attacked Kalisizo and killed people .
Kigozi added that after they crossed to Tanzania and the gun was recovered by police, in Tanzania.
Working on intelligence, police mounted a serious operation, and arrested the gang leader in a local lodge in Mutukula with a pair of players.
