OFFICERS ADVISED TO MAINTAIN DIPLOMACY AT MISSION

Deputy Director of Operations, Senior Commissioner of Police (CP)Omoding Wilson has urged officers to exhibit the highest level of discipline as ambassadors to uphold the Uganda’s reputation of diplomacy en route to and fro the African Transmission Mission in Somalia (ATMIS).

He acknowledged the diverse environment faced by the officers while at the mission that needs sacrifice and patience. He underscored the importance of professionalism and diversity of cultures faced while serving.

SCP Omoding stressed the need for officers to remain focused and avoid making unrealistic commitment and over-promising due to salary increasement that sometimes lead to financial mismanagement.

In addition, he cautioned returning officers to exercise discipline and in case of any quarry, they should seek support from proper channels other than resorting to social media.

The returning officers (14) were granted a well-deserved fourteen-day rest period.
He congratulated  those who had been promoted and expressed best wishes for the officers embarking on the mission to Somalia.

The brief  was held at Uganda Police Force Headquarters in Naguru, under the mega tent, marking August 14th, 2023, as a significant moment of preparation and inspiration for the officers involved. Twelve(12) officers are set to replace the outgoing team this week.
