MINISTER OF INTERNAL AFFAIRS FLAGS OFF 17TH INTERFORCE GAMES

The Minister of Internal Affairs, Retired General Kahinda Otafiire, officially flagged off the 17th edition of the Interforce Games in a one-day event at the Police Training School Kabalye, Masindi on 27th November 2023.

Retired General  Otafiire underscored the significance of cooperation at all force levels, urging disciplined service to both the public and fellow forces.

He emphasized the mission to preserve and protect the people of Uganda, stating,

“It is our duty to protect those who have allowed us to hold the shield to protect them, no matter the cost.”

This year’s interforces games are hosted by the Uganda Police Force.

The Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) Tumusiime Katsigazi, representing the Inspector General of Police acknowledged the Minister’s support and encouraged the forces to foster positive relationships with the people of Uganda, stating,

“Ensure that you are adding to that positive cooperation, make sure that the people of Uganda see you as allies, and let them celebrate your presence.” Stated DIGP.

The DIGP Tumusiime Katsigazi expressed gratitude for the Minister’s unwavering support and emphasized the need for collaboration among the forces to strengthen relationships with the citizens.

The Interforces Games, hosted at Police Training School Kabalye, are set to conclude on December 1, 2023.
