The first lady also minister of education and sports Mrs. Janet Kataha Museveni has this afternoon welcomed the back the team that represented Uganda at the Common Wealth Games in Gold Coast Australia.
“Welcome home we celebrate what you have done , we salute you but mostly we thank our God because he was with you and now you have opened the eyes of Ugandans .Said the First Lady
“On behalf of the president, Ugandans, Government, and the ministry of Education we welcome you with so much pride .she added
She also applauded the team for being disciplined and hard working
Joshua cheptegei in his remarks has thanked his teammates for the great performance they put up.
He also thanked the Uganda police force for putting up sports clubs that gave Ugandans opportunity to express their talents.
Uganda was represented by 69 players from which 11 were from the Uganda police force.
