DIGP LAUNCHES 17th INTER-FORCES GAMES

The Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) Tumusiime Katsigazi has officially flagged off the 17th Edition of Inter-forces Games 2023 hosted by the Uganda Police Force on November 17, 2023.

The kickoff ceremony, held at Police Headquarters Naguru, marks the beginning of events spanning from November 18th to December 1st, 2023 at Kigo Range Grounds, Police Training School, Kabalye, and Masindi Stadium.

The event runs under the theme, “Fostering Wellness and Interagency Cooperation through Sports for a Safer and Secure Uganda.”

DIGP Katsigazi urged competing teams not only to strive for international representation but also to enhance network building among security forces for the collective improvement of the country’s security.

Furthermore, DIGP Katsigazi extended an invitation to the public, aiming to inspire and showcase the talents of officers and men, encouraging citizens to cheer on and support the participants.

The participating teams include the Uganda Peoples Defense Force, Uganda Police Force, Uganda Wildlife Authority, and Uganda Prisons Services. This initiative aims to cultivate harmony among the forces.
