Car Number Plate Gang: Two Arrested

After a time of aggressive trucking of a gang plucking of number plates from people’s vehicles in the entire region, two have been arrested by the regional flying squad unit.
Sulaiman Sentamu and Brian Muyanja were arrested yesterday.
The duo is being held at the Central Police Station in Masaka for interview.
Greater Masaka Police spokesperson has said the suspects have been cooperative and have provided information leading up to recovering eight number plates. The gang, he said had been operating in areas of Lyantonde, Kyazanga, Mbirizi, Kiwangala and Masaka Municipality before their luck ran out on Thursday.
Relatedly, our staff in Kalisizo, Kyotera district has busted the circulation of fake money (bicupuli) in the region.
This was after it intercepted intelligence that this money had through unscrupulous people had found its way in to the district specifically at a home of 70-year old woman in Botera Village, Kirumba Sub-county in Kyotera.
The old woman has been very cooperative after giving us information and handing over exhibit in denominations of 50, 000, 20, 000, 10, 000 and 5, 000 worth 850,000 shillings and later helping us identify the prime suspect Kasiita Godfrey who has been arrested.
