An accident that occurred last night has claimed 17 lives.
The incident happened along Panymur road at 8:30pm when a truck carrying market vendors lost control on a slope and overturned, killing 17 on spot.
10 others were rushed to hospital in critical condition.
Details of the deceased will be availed later.
Their bodies lay at Arua Hospital and will later be handed over to relatives.
The incident has been recorded under TAR: 003/2019 of Pakwach Police Station.
