SERIAL COUNTERFEIT DEALER ARRESTED

20/09/09, Kampala

Central police station Kampala is holding a 20 year old primary seven graduate for masterly at forgery, OMBFP and coning.
She is called Suror Pamela, kakwa by tribe and a resident of lunguja Kampala. She stole a land title from his elder sister Suror Diana found in kireka and mort aged her house valued at 80 million.
Suror Pamela first forged L.C letters from kireka and forged I.D in names of Suror Diana.
Between February and March, she got money 25 million from a private lender one Muliro. With this money, a Kenyan also duped her that he was inducting her in fuel business. He convinced her that if she injected the 25M, she would get 50M. When they went to Kenya together, the Kenyan disappeared.
 
Between April and March, the same suror Pamela obtained another loan from Global Capital owned by Ben Kavuya amounting to 35M. Here she first forged a marriage certificate from one church in Nakulabye because it was a requirement. She shared some of this money with her advisers and a boyfriend, who bought a tax from this money in his names and disappeared.
In May, she still forged another land title of same plot and House and obtained a loan of 20M from a one Lubega Ismail with a promise of paying an interest rate of 18% by August.
She issued a cheque (post dated) for United Bank of Africa (William Street).
Suror Pamela confessed to police that she has never been engaged in Tomato, charcoal or Banana leaves business. She was therefore bound to fail in doing any thing for this money.
And like some people lack luck, Suror Pamela was arrested by police and has been charged for impersonation, forgery, uttering false document and O/M/B/F/P totaling to 80m from so far 3 known money lenders.
Police there fore cautions all those involved in this business to be very careful before transacting business with some people. We encourage you to first verify the true ownership of the various securities and to get out of your Air conditioned offices to visit their locations.

THREE SECURITY GUARDS ARRESTED
19/09/2009, Kampala
MUGUNDO SHAMIR,EDEMA ALLAN and KAYIIRA FRANK who were security guards of securex on the 16/09/2009 at around 1400hours in kampala as they were escorting cash 90,000,000/= (ninety million shillings) from Bank of Uganda Kampala to Jinja orient Bank in a van UAA 552B. Reaching between Mabira and Njeru in Mukono district, the three turned their guns to the Bank officials who were in the van and robbed all the money.
However on 19/09/2009, the three suspects were arrested hiding at Bukoyo in Iganga district and they had abandoned the guns in the van of the bank(Two guns with 19 rounds of ammunitions) and even 11 million shillings was recovered by Uganda Police.

THREE SUSPECTED TERRORISTS ARRESTED
17/09/2009, Kampala
Its alleged that three suspected terrorists have been arrested for burning trailer cabin No UAE 977A and UAG 974Q and the suspects have been identified as MUTESASIRA EMMANUEL a male adult aged 27years, self employed and  a resident of Nabaziza zone in Kyengera, KASULE WILLIAM (ALIAS KAGALABI) male adult aged 18years, a businessman in Busega, a resident of Biira, Busega in Wakiso district and MUSANJE EDWARD a male adult aged 22years, a businessman who is a resident of Kigwanya zone in Busega,  Rubaga Division. Among others still at large committed a terrorist act by burning a coca cola trailer UAE 977A cabin and no UAG 974Q trailer which had parked at Busega round about. The trailer burnt was destined for Mukono. The rioters first stole hundred crates of coca cola soda before burning it. The driver and other witnesses whose statement were obtained managed to identify the three mentioned suspects and have been charged for terrorism on C/S 7 (1b&2c) of the Anti terrorism Act on 17/09/2009 CRB 61333/09 KATWE.

ROBBERY IN LUWERO
17/09/09, Luwero

Police in Luwero arrested Damulira Abdul, Ntege Lauben, Malubo Godfrey Kakumirizi, Kakaire Siraje, Damulira Christopher, Kawuma Juma, Sebanakuta Isaac and Igga Phillips for waylaying a trailer CE 266c-22A loaded with 2257 jerycans of cooking oil each of 20 liters. This trailer was from BIDCO Jinja and destined to Central African Republic.
This took place between Bombo and Luwero by the above suspects who emerged from the bush armed with pangas.
This was an inside work of the turn boy who duped the driver to stop claiming he had not fastened the nuts of the wheels. He pretended to be checking when the driver stopped. After a very short time, the driver was grabbed by the five men, intoxicated with chlorophome before he became unconscious. This was the end of what the driver could understand.
He was assisted by good Samaritans who found him along the road when the m/v and its contents were missing.
We recovered the m/v abandoned at Nabweru near Bwaise but the cooking oil had been taken away.
Between 22/09/09 and 23/09/09, we were able to recover 764 jericans of cooking oil in areas of Mukono, Nakivubo, Owino, Kyengera and Matuga. The turn boy disappeared with the colloquies up to now but the hunt is going on. The driver an Eritrean called Tekirit is still undergoing treatment.

JILTED MAN LANDS IN TROUBLE
16/09/09, Kampala

Police is holding one Mayanja Ronald aged between 25-30 and a resident of Seguku zone 5 for giving false information. He reported to us one Nyadri Richard for taking part in terrorism activities in Natete. But when we investigated, we established that they have had wrangles before over a woman. Nyadri Richard who stays in the neighboring village of seguku grabbed Mayanjas woman, one only known as Carol. This was after mayanja producing one child with Carol.

Nyadri Richard married this Carol who carried Mayanjas child to Nyadris home. Carol is now seven months pregnant and mayanja has been fighting for both the child the child, pregnancy and Carols loves.

For involving police in these wrangles by giving false information, we arrested him on 20/09/09 and we are taking him to court to answer charges of giving false information.

A 14 YEAR OLD STUDENT DEFILED
14/09/09, Luwero

A 14 year old student of Kanyunyu in LUTUNDA zone kanyunyu was abducted on her way to school and later defiled. This occured in NAMERE between 14/09/2009 and 01/10/2009. The four suspects who are said to have defiled included KIBOMBO KAVUMA ASUMAN alias MUGWANYA who is 17years and a candidate of S.4 in Integrated High School, SEWANKAMBO JAMES alias HENRY 21years ols a brick maker and a resident of NAMERE and two others who work in taxis at Mpererwe who are on the run. It was said that the suspects defiled the student in turns and the arrested KIBOMBO and SEWANKAMBO are in safe custody as they are waiting to appear in the court of law to answer charges of abduction and defilement this week.

TAXI ROBBERS

It is alleged that on Saturday 05/09/2009 at around 10am, suspected robbers who were identified as KIBERUZI GODFREY male adult and KABENGE ROBERT male adult both residents of Namungona timed SPC BABOGEZU TWAHA attached to kawempe police station when he had just withdrawn money from wandegeya post bank,they stopped him and told him that they were heading to Bwaise-Kawempe. When he boarded there were only two passengers in the taxi who turned into robbers together with the driver and the conductor. They intensionary didn’t pick any other passenger because they were sure that their victim had what they wanted. When they reached between wandegeya post bank and Bwaise, they attacked him, beat him up and robbed him of 400,000 and two mobile phones before they pushed him out of the taxi. Even when they pushed him out of the taxi, they reversed with an intention of killing him but luckily he survived. He made an alarm and was rescued by people who alerted police which intercepted the vehicle and arrested the two suspects at kubiri. The driver and the conductor managed to escape. The other two robbers who pretended to be passengers are at kawempe police station and their taxi UAF 080C. The two are to appear in court on charges of Robbery, Assault and Impersonation.

 SENIOR TWO STUDENT COMMITS SUICIDE
02/09/2009, Kampala
IWUTUNGU PEACE a 19 year old girl a student of ST Josephs S.S Ndeeba hanged herself on a tree in her father’s compound and all her family members were wondering why she took her own life. Before hanging herself, she first fetched water and took a bath while the parents and other family members were inside the house for supper. The neighbors saw her body hanging on a jackfruit tree around their home compound.
A report was made to police that rushed to the scene and carried the body to the mortuary for postmortem. The police is carrying out investigations to establish the cause of the suicide and other circumstances surrounding this incident.
