CYBER CRIME
Computers are being used extensively in all sectors of the Uganda economy. They are used in the private and public sectors/commercial and non-commercial sectors/service and non-service sectors/academic and non-academic sectors such as Banking, agricultural, Industrial, Police, Military, Scientific Research, Health and other Governmental Agencies because they do not only facilitate fast functioning of the organization but also store vital information, which is a very valuable commodity. In addition to the computer growth in the Uganda economy, they have been increased growth in the information technology (IT) especially the mobile revolution.
