PRESS STATEMENT
The Inspector General of Police, General Kale Kayihura has ordered for the transfer and appointment of gazette and non gazzeted officers to take over new offices for purpose of ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in performance of police duties and promotion of community policing, countering violent crimes with in the country. The affected gazzeted officers include:-
1. SSP RUHWEZA JAMES FROM KMP SOUTH TO SIPI REGION AS RPC.
2. SSP BAKALEKE SILAJI FROM KMP EAST TO KMP SOUTH AS RPC.
3. SP KAGWA ANDREW FROM ADJUMANI APPOINTED Ag. RPC KMP EAST.
4. SP TUSINGWIRE CEASER FROM WANDEGEYA TO ADJUMANI AS DPC.
5. SP MUSANI MICHEAL SABIRA APPOINTED DPC CPS, KMP SOUTH.
6. SP KINTU HENRY DPC CPS, KMP, SOUTH, SUSPENDED PENDING INVESTIGATION BY PSU.
7. SP KYANGUNGU APOLLO, DPC WAKISO SUSPENDED PENDING INVESTIGATIONS BY PSU.
8. SP KATWALO OC STATION KITEZI POLICE STATION APPOINTED DPC WAKISO DISTRICT.
9. ASP MUCUNGUZI JACKSON OC MAKERERE APPOINTED DPC WANDEGEYA.
10. AIP ELIATU I/C DUTIES CPS IS ALSO SUSPENDED PENDIND INVESTIGATIONS BY PSU.

104 CID and crime intelligence officers and 77 uniformed personals from the rank of sergeant to the rank of police constable have also been transferred to Busoga East region so as to boost crime investigations and intelligence.
