Overview

The headquarters of Interpol are in France Lyon, and Uganda a member of the Interpol and belongs to the sub regional bureau of Interpol whose headquarters are in Nairobi, Kenya. Every country with Interpol is requires to have a NCB national central bureau and Uganda being a member has a department of the Uganda National Central Bureau of Interpol located at plot 12 Mabua Rd - kololo, Uganda Police Force P. O. Box 2973, Kampala, headed by Francis Rwego, Assistant Inspector General of Police .

Has two departments and each department headed by Commissioner of Police

In order to execute its mandate, the directorate is structured into 2 Departments namely:

  1. Interpol
  2. Peace Support Operations

DEPARTMENT OF INTERPOL

The department performs the functions of the National Central Bureau of Interpol.
Each of INTERPOL’s member countries has a National Central Bureau (NCB).
This is a contact point (liaison office) with International Police and other Law Enforcement Agencies worldwide

  2. Financial & High-tech Crimes
  3. Fugitives
  4. Public Safety & Terrorism
  5. Trafficking in Human Beings
  6. Corruption
  7. Motor Vehicle Theft
  8. I-24/7 Communication System
  9. Environmental Crime
