Police Issues Counter Terrorism Alert

Today October 7, 2011 the director of counter terrorism Mr. Byakagaba Abas while addressing journalist at the central police station issued terrorism alerts to the public.
He said that the main concern is on security  “terrorism threat is high” following the events that are happening at a time when key Al Qaeda leaders, Anwar Al-Awlaki and Amir khan were killed in Yemen and the bombings in Mogadishu and Somalia on October 4 2011.

POLICE HAS DEEP-ROOTED SECURITY IN THE UPCOMING EVENTS.

Police has warned Entebbe residents who intend to incite violence during the by election that the police will be available. This was said by the Inspector General of Police Major General Kale Kayihura during a press conference at the Media center in Kampala.  Kayihura said that they received information that some group of people intend to cause violence during the election, but they will not allow it.
