IGP Hails FFU Officers

The Inspector General of Police Gen. Kale Kayihura has hailed officers for the role played in securing the country especially in the just concluded by- elections in Kamuli and Kyandondo East.

The police chief was addressing Field Force Unit (FFU) officers during his visit to Baraza, at Kigo prisons base on Monday.

The officers drawn from Kasese, Busoga East and Kampala Metropolitan were to table their issues before the IGP in the way to bridge the gap between the officers and the headquarters so as to sort out organizational weakness and build a force that delivers.

“This interaction is to get your input in planning and budgeting so as to set priorities. We have clear mission and tasks in this journey which is policing so as to achieve national goals”. IGP said

The director operations AIGP Asuman Mugyenyi commended the IGP for sparing time to listen and share ideas with lower ranking officers. He therefore urged the officers to maintain discipline for the betterment of the force.

Issues were raised by the officers and the IGP promised to avail them with immediate solutions to the concerned rose.
